London & Sydney – Amber Infrastructure Group, the specialist international infrastructure investment manager (‘Amber’ or the ‘Group’), has appointed Vaughan Wallace as its new Head of Asia-Pacific, based in Sydney.

Vaughan will take a leading role in developing the investment pipeline for Amber’s existing and future mandates by working with the Group’s established origination and investment management teams based across Amber’s three offices in Australia.

Under Vaughan’s leadership, these teams will support Amber’s growth in Australasia and, in time,  developed infrastructure markets in Asia. The broader Amber team will also benefit from Vaughan’s extensive international experience, including the development of infrastructure projects in the UK, Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific.

Vaughan is well known to Amber, having previously worked with members of the Amber team when he was based in London.  Vaughan joins from a leading Australian infrastructure developer, Capella Capital, where he was Head of Origination. Over the last 20+ years Vaughan has been instrumental in developing and delivering numerous significant infrastructure projects for institutional investors and public authorities.

Amanda Woods, Chief Investment Officer, Amber Infrastructure Group, said: “We are delighted to welcome Vaughan back to our team. Vaughan brings a wealth of experience and will play a key role as Amber looks to grow our presence in Australia and surrounding regions.”

Vaughan Wallace, Head of Asia-Pacific, Amber Infrastructure Group, said: “I am very excited to be joining Amber during this period of growth for the business and look forward to building upon its established platform and strong track record in the region.”
